Western Digital MyBook Studio Edition II 4TB external hard drive system
4TB RAID 0/RAID 1 hard drive system for Macintosh
External hard disk drives have the advantage of storing large capacities of data in form factors small enough that you can carry them with you. With devices that capture large amounts of data, such as HD video cameras and high megapixel digital SLR cameras now the norm rather than the exception, all that data has to be stored somewhere. G-Technology's G-Drive mini SSD 120GB
When I first reviewed an 8MB flash based USB thumb drive from M-Systems and IBM back in 2001, I was astounded at its durability. I dropped the device, went surf fishing with it and got it wet, and basically abused it until the plastic casing came off and all that was left was the memory module and the USB arm. It still works today, but at 8MB, it has since been replaced by several drives at varying capacities. Read More

DIY Hard Drive Upgrade Kit
If your notebook is getting a little long in the tooth, or you've filled the hard drive with too much stuff, maybe it's time for an upgrade to a new, faster drive with more capacity. After installing the 320GB Seagate Momentus 7200 RPM drive in my MacBook, I am happy to report a significant difference in the speed. Plus, I was able to use Other World Computing's Mercury On-The-Go Drive enclosure with my old MacBook's hard drive, so now I have a great portable USB drive. Read More

Flip Video UltraHD with Flip Channels
When I first reviewed the Pure Digital Flip camera back in 2007, I liked the camera for its ease of use, video quality, and portability. The video camera pretty much set the video camera world on its ears, with more than 2 million cameras sold since being introduced several years ago--so much so that Cisco Systems snatched up the company. The latest version of the camera, The Flip UltraHD coupled with the latest version of FlipShare, keeps the solution a compelling one. Read More
Content Insider # 124 - Free Stuff
There is a whole group of people who grew up on the Internet that believes everything that is out there should be free. Stewart Brand set the stage back in 1984 at the first Hacker's Conference when he said -- Information Wants To Be Free. Information also wants to be expensive. That tension will not go away. At the end of the day an organization has to put money in the cash register so bills will be paid and people will have food/shelter. There is no such thing as a free lunch. Read More
